Hotel El Balear

Really enjoyed my stay at El Balear. My room was exactly as it looked on the website and it was so clean. The hotel was very clean overall. In my room there were shelves and plugs where they were needed. The room had everything I needed. Bathroom was perfect. The room also had a balcony, also much needed aircon. All the staff at reception were very helpful and kind. Offering tips in the local area and assisting me with my luggage, taxi etc . They were efficient and very friendly. The breakfast was extensive and the staff were again very friendly. All of them greeting us every day and getting anything we needed. The location is good too. A short walk along the promenade to the old town. I'd recommend this hotel.

Thank you very much for a great stay of our group! A very nice, cosy, seafront hotel, a short distance walk to the old town; you can also walk/drive/take a bus to the main Alghero beach. But it is the people and the staff who make the hotel special! They were so helpful and attentive to all of our needs and questions! It doesn't happen too often and they made our stay a wonderful experience!

We travelled as a group and all of our rooms had balconies or access to the courtyard, some had sea view (a rocky beach is across the street). The hotel is very neat and tidy. The restaurant is serving really nice dinner daily in addition to breakfast. The front office team helped us a lot by answering all of our questions, thank you!

Pretty good hotel option in Alghero. The service is wonderful and they include a full breakfast for all guests as well. My biggest complaint would be the wifi is not good. It kept dropping in and out of signal and it was disruptive as I did need to get some work done on holiday. The location is also a bit removed from where the sightseeing is.

Great Location! Our four night stay at Hotel El Balear was excellent! This comfortable and pleasant sea view hotel is located in a prime location with numerous cafes nearby and only a 10 minute walk to the main part of town and the port. In front of the hotel there is a lovely promenade bordering the pristine sea, and this walkway goes to the old town. We booked a triple room with a beautiful sea view and a balcony. This well-managed hotel has friendly, helpful personnel who are eager to assist the customers. The congenial staff at the front desk helped us with luggage and assisted us with restaurant recommendations. In addition, we were impressed with the professional, friendly waiters in the breakfast room. They were highly attentive to us and offered us perfect cappuccinos. There was a generous, delicious buffet breakfast with freshly made pastries, fresh fruits, and a variety of hot selections, like eggs and bacon. We highly recommend Hotel El Balear!

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights, it was our 2nd time visiting Sardinia and the time flied by! We combined sightseeing on our way and did a few day/half day trips whilst at the hotel. Alghero is a wonderful place and we were very happy with our hotel choice. Riservato beach bar visit is a must, it is very close by. I can't thank the team of the hotel enough for all of their efforts, time, kindness, patience to make our stay fantastic! The reception, restaurant (waiters and kitchen) and housekeeping teams are fabulous! Never showing a sign of tiredness despite their very busy and demanding every day jobs, but showering us with great mood and humour, grazie!!! A wonderful hotel with a beautiful sea view, access to a rocky beach just across the street (best if you bring swimming shoes) & promenade, a very nice courtyard with flowers and a seating area to enjoy your mornings/evenings. A short walk to the old town and the most important sites. The restaurant is serving very delicious breakfast and dinner every day! All the staff are so attentive and did their utmost to make our stay exceptional and unforgettable! The reception, restaurant and housekeeping teams all make you feel at home like family! Great location! The hotel is pretty nice for a 3-star, they have all the basic necessities. We upgraded to a room with a sea view and a huge balcony. Only downside was that it was three floors up, with no elevator. There was also a strange sewage smell coming from a sort of closet next to our room, which took away from an otherwise great experience. The staff was very professional and friendly. Overall, good experience.
